Looks aren't Everything , Trust me I'm a Model
This TED Talk was spoken in October of 2012 by Cameron Russell. She established her credibility by stating she has been a model for the past ten years of her life. The TED was about how she has gained everything in her life due to way she looks as she effortlessly gets her picture taken. She also is given free things and an easier life than most which is a materialistic quality most do not have. Russell also states that it is the opposite for most Americans. A lot of people, especially people of color, are judged in a negative way due to their appearance. This is related to the core value equality, or in this case a lack of it. She also preaches that being a model is not a carrier choice, it is a genetic lottery that she so happened to win. Cameron Russell has achieved her American dream through looks while for most of America looks set you back. 78% of girls under seventeen years old are unhappy with their body and in 2011 120,000 black and Latino between ages fourteen and eighteen were stopped and frisked due to skin color. This is an example of how she established logos through stating statistics. Russell also utilizes pathos by explaining how looks are not everything and you should not feel bad due to your appearance.
